Create a DSN-Less Database Connection

Overview

This function demonstrates how to use DSN-Less strings on connecting database.

Fields
 Choose Your Data Type: (Required)
This field is for selecting the type of database you are connecting to. Selecting the correct type is imperative.
 Database Location: (Not Needed if SQL)
This field is for typing the location of the file on your site.Database files should be located on the default databases directory.If the database file contacts.mdb is located on the default database directory,you should only need to type in contacts.mdb in the field box.If the database file contacts.mdb is located on \sales directory off the default database directory, you should need to type in sales\contacts.mdb in the field box.
 SQL Server Name: (SQL Only)
Enter the name of the SQL server that the customer's database is on.
 Database Name: (SQL Only)
Enter the Database Name of the Customer's SQL database that you want to connect to.
 User Name:
Enter the user name for the database that you are connecting to. (Not needed if database is not password protected)
 Password:
Enter the password for the database that you are connecting to. (Not needed if database is not password protected)
